Building on his involvement in Christoph Schlingensief’s theatre opera *Via Intolleranza II* (2010), Komi Amado presents a new monologue as part of the *Spätschicht* programme.
Anta Recke first encountered Komi Amado in 2011, when he delivered an intoxicating monologue from a child’s perspective on the neo-colonial conditions in European-African art production on stage at the Berliner Festspiele. He had previously also taken part in Christoph Schlingensief’s *Via Intolleranza II* (2010), which explores the contradictions and colonial fallout surrounding the creation of Schlingensief’s *Operndorf Afrika* project.
As part of the ‘Spätschicht’ programme, Recke and Amado meet again at the Gropius Bau and, together with theatre maker Wenceslas Balima, develop a new monologue.
