Guided tour for families with children from 6 years

The New Chambers are situated in the heart of Sanssouci Park and were built under Frederick the Great. Large banquet halls and lavishly furnished living and sleeping quarters were intended for the King’s guests. Precious stones and gilded ornaments adorn the floors, walls and ceilings, bearing witness to the King’s taste and wealth.

This tour is ideal for first-time visitors to the palace. It answers questions such as:

  • Who built these palaces and why were they built?
  • How did people live here in the 18th century?
  • When was that, anyway – the 18th century?
  • And – why are such old buildings maintained today?

After a tour of the New Chambers, you can take part in a digital scavenger hunt through Sanssouci Park using your own smartphone. The hunt takes you around the vineyard terraces, exploring the diversity of art, architecture and plants.
