Katharina Thalbach's unerring sense of wit and melancholy makes her the ideal voice for this potpourri of Kästner's Berlin. Following "Käsebier Conquers the Kurfürstendamm" and "Gilgi – One of Us," she continues her series of staged readings from the Weimar era at the Berliner Ensemble.
