A Tour Through History
Today, the only part still visible in the urban landscape is the so-called portico, the entrance to the monumental station hall. Join us on a journey through time exploring the history of Anhalter Bahnhof.
Lars Quadejacob, Head of Rail Transportation at the German Museum of Technology, and Matthias Stier, responsible for the museum’s digital strategy, bring the station back to life during this outdoor tour. Discover traces of the station near today’s Tempodrom and explore the virtual reconstruction on the website "Anhalter Bahnhof Revisited". The application offers a fascinating glimpse into the former splendor of the destroyed station.
This event is part of the Berlin Industrial Heritage Festival.
