“Hello cruel world / I’m not going away / So I might as well have my say” – with these words, Joe Jackson opens his upcoming album, Hope and Fury, demonstrating that he is still brimming with energy and creativity.

As with his previous works, Hope and Fury is bursting with powerful songs, original lyrics, and funky grooves – featuring Jackson’s vocals and keyboard playing that are as powerful as ever, if not more so.

Fittingly, given the title – an ironic nod to “Land of Hope and Glory” – this album reveals a very English Joe Jackson, whose new songs reflect an ambivalent relationship with his homeland. At a time when many of his contemporaries have fallen silent, Jackson sounds stronger than ever.

With Hope and Fury, Jackson presents nine brand-new songs that showcase his full stylistic range – from Latin jazz to funk to rock.

Recorded with his longtime band, including Graham Maby, Teddy Kumpel, and Doug Yowell, and augmented by percussionist Paulo Stagnaro, the album was created between Berlin and New York in collaboration with co-producer Patrick Dillett.

Musically, Hope and Fury is reminiscent of classics like Night and Day or Fool: melodic, clever, groovy, and full of British humor. Jackson sings about life's tensions between hope and anger, about society, love, and self-deprecation—from the biting anthem I'm Not Sorry to the touching ballad See You in September.

To coincide with the release of Hope and Fury in April 2026, the exceptional artist will embark on a major world tour—with concerts in North America in May and a subsequent European tour in the fall. Joe Jackson will also be stopping in Germany for eight exclusive shows.

Expect new songs and nostalgic classics like "Steppin' Out" and "Is She Really Going Out With Him?" Fans can look forward to the following shows in October and November:
