Inspired by Naomi Alderman’s science fiction novel, we explore visions of society in the near future.
When Martha Einkorn fled her father’s closed community in Oregon, she never imagined she’d end up working for a powerful social media mogul. Now she’s surrounded by filthy-rich corporations developing private weather systems and secret weapons, whilst proclaiming technological prophecies. Martha may have left the cult, but as the apocalyptic visions in her father’s sermons slowly come true, how much of the future is actually left? With a handful of friends, she plans a daring coup to save the world from the tech giants whose greed threatens life as we know it.
