International Short Film Festival Berlin – EVENTS
This year’s Fulldome programme takes you from space to depths of over 1,500 metres beneath the ocean’s surface, as well as paying homage to Kubrick’s classic “2001”. You’ll witness the transformation of a neighbourhood in Jakarta, Indonesia, over the decades and embark on an animated metaphysical journey through Iceland.

INTERFILM42: VR Meets Fulldome
Since its premiere eleven years ago, ‘VR meets Fulldome’ has remained a crowd favourite; it has continually reinvented itself in line with technical developments in immersive film and has thus lost none of its fascination.
In collaboration with the 3D Courant Festival in Angoulême and curated by François Serre, they bring you a collaborative virtual reality cinema experience – and you don’t even need to put on 3D glasses or VR headsets.
The festival’s best VR films will be screened on the Zeiss Planetarium’s huge 360° dome projection, completely enveloping you in image, sound and atmosphere. Sit back, marvel, lose yourself in the dome – and experience how VR and Fulldome merge into a spectacular symbiosis.
