By 2026, the number of places that are either at war or in the interlude between wars has risen. The films in this programme focus less on the politics behind the wars and more on the psychological and temporal states that they give rise to.

Armed conflicts create an atmosphere characterised by repetition, delay, uncertainty and a persistent sense of limbo.
The programme does not attempt to provide direct explanations or literal depictions. Instead, it presents films that engage with uncertainty as a working condition and maintain it as an open question.
