by the OOPSALA Dance Theater Collective

In its new production, *IM WAL*, the dance theater collective OOPSALA explores the issue of ocean pollution through the medium of art.

IM WAL tells the story of three deep-sea divers who, during one of their underwater expeditions, suddenly find themselves inside the belly of a giant whale. There they discover piles of plastic wrap and plastic bottles—and strange things begin to happen…

The young audience is actively involved in the performance: the children dive, swim, and dance along with the performers, helping them find a way to get out of the whale.

In a humorous and poetic way, the dance performance tells a story that brings ecological themes to life from a child-friendly, artistic perspective.

  • An interactive dance performance for a mixed-age audience ages 4 and up
