In a tour of the exhibition, the speakers will look back at key historical events of the 19th and 20th centuries based on key dates in German history. A state-certified interpreter simultaneously translates the tour into German sign language.
At inclusive and interactive stations, selected objects and models can be experienced with different senses. In reverse order, the tour takes up topics such as Ostpolitik, the building of the Berlin Wall, the Cold War, the Nazi takeover, or revolution and democratization at decisive tipping points and explains that it by no means had to come to the way it finally did.
The tour as well as the inclusive and interactive stations combine visual information with the opportunity for discussion.
After the tour, videos in German sign language invite visitors to engage in a more in-depth discussion of the exhibition topic.
