How has nature shaped the lives of societies, and how have conceptions of nature changed over the past 800 years? This interactive guided tour, featuring creative hands-on activities and research tasks, invites families with children to explore the relationship between humans and nature.

On the one hand, the children will venture into fairy-tale forests populated by dwarves, giants and animals; on the other, they will see mountains where people once searched for silver. They will discover the naturalist Maria Sibylla Merian’s passion for butterflies and learn how microscopes opened up new worlds, or why people used to eat moss.

Booking for the guided tour is available at the ticket office from 30 minutes before the tour starts; places are limited.
