dance piece by Modjgan Hashemian

A favorite song to dance along to, depressing news, the touch of a favorite person all get under your skin. The skin, the largest organ, consists of many layers that protect us. What goes under the skin makes it tingle with happiness, tighten with fear or cold, hurt or warm pleasantly. Sometimes the hairs on the skin move and people get goose bumps.

The dance piece sets out to find out why people sometimes have to put on a thick skin, what touches them and, above all, what moves them!

The choreographer Modjgan Hashemian opens up a field of tension of touch, starting with distance regulations over longing for loved ones, up to intimate embraces.
In the process, people meet across linguistic barricades. In a piece for the senses, touch is to be made tangible in all its facets and bring everyone closer together.
