In *Von Tieren und anderen Menschen* (On Animals and Other People), Lea Schneider explores the question of how our world would change if we took non-human beings seriously as independent, acting subjects – ‘problem animals’.
*Das Leichteste der Welt* is about teenagers with a child, Riot Grrrls, the late 1990s, solar eclipses and friends Karla, Ivo, Demian and Selma, who learn together what it means to take on responsibility. Christian Dittloff tells of first love, teenage parents, class and growing up.
In *Niewiedervereinigung – 100 Zwischenrufe zur deutschen Einheit* (Never Reunification – 100 Interjections on German Reunification), Paula Fürstenberg explores the narrative gaps in the story that, to this day, celebrates the so-called reunification primarily as a democratic success story.
In *Parasiti*, Alisha Gamisch traces the life journeys of three Russian-German women, from Novosibirsk in the 1960s to Fürstenfeldbruck in the recent past: a letter causes Grandmother Lydia to fall silent from one day to the next – and prompts her granddaughter Rina to ask questions that have long been taboo within the family.
