Reading series with Audream

You exchange sweets, make plans and share your feelings and secrets? Who are your friends and what do you experience with them? The reading is about the importance of friendships, the feeling of connection, and what we like most about each other.

The young Audream team will read together with players from the ensemble and engage in an exchange with the audience.

For whom: For Bi_PoC children between the ages of 5 and 12 who experience exclusion due to racist attributions. Friends, family and caregivers are also invited. The reading is open to all.

What connects stories like "Julian is a Mermaid," "You Belong," or "Gum and Darnings"? They are all about unique young characters who seek and find their place in the world. They are rarely alone, but are accompanied by courageous friends or loving family members.

The reading series is a project in collaboration with the mobile anti-racist library Audream. Together, they invite you to three readings starting in January 2023. Young Bi_PoC* will read stories that focus on the realities of life, feelings, and demands of Black children, Indigenous children, and children of color. This is about representation, self-determination, and moments of identification!

* Bi_PoC: Black Children, Indigenous Children, and Children of Color.
