Six concertos, six soundscapes, and an evening that reminds us that this music by Johann Sebastian Bach had to be rediscovered before it began its triumphant march.

In 1721, Johann Sebastian Bach sent Margrave Christian Ludwig of Brandenburg six concertos titled Six Concerts Avec plusieurs Instruments. The scores lay dormant in the archives for decades and were not recognized as the Brandenburg Concertos until the 19th century.

The Freiburg Baroque Orchestra will bring their astonishing diversity to life during this guest performance at the Philharmonie.
