With Vanessa Onwuemezi, Ed Atkins and Chris Shields, Kirsty Bell, Maria Stepanova, Vincenzo Latronico and others

To mark the arrival of the DAAD Artists at the Grüner Salon, the independent London-based publisher Fitzcarraldo Editions and the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Programme are presenting a day dedicated to contemporary literature and its many interconnections.

The two institutions are linked by a whole host of authors – from Nobel Prize laureates such as Svetlana Alexievich and Olga Tokarczuk to artists and writers such as Ed Atkins and Vanessa Onwuemezi, as well as long-standing friends such as Kirsty Bell, Katy Derbyshire, Vincenzo Latronico, Saskia Vogel and many others. These connections will be brought to life during a joint reading event at the Grüner Salon.

The authors will be reading from 3 pm at a long table, followed by a concert – late in the evening, after the premiere on the Main Stage has finished.

The bar will be open all day, serving cucumber sandwiches and drinks.

The detailed programme will be published shortly.

In collaboration with Fitzcarraldo Editions, London.
