The Pergamon Museum, situated on Berlin’s Museum Island – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – will reopen its doors to the public on 4 June 2027. This means that the Pergamon Altar will finally be on public display once again.

In addition, the main level will feature further rooms housing architectural exhibits such as the Mschatta Façade.

The Museum of Islamic Art will present its completely redesigned permanent exhibition throughout the entire north wing of the building.

The Museum of the Ancient Near East will display highlights from its collection.

The reopening of the Pergamon Museum forms part of the five-year programme of celebrations marking the 200th anniversary of Berlin’s Museum Island.
