Felix Römer writes poetry. This has led, on the one hand, to him becoming the German-language champion in poetry slam and, on the other, to him presenting his work to the public in a wide variety of settings. Now Römer is once again breaking new ground.

Felix Römer & Nachtfarben
Over the past few years, and amidst all the restrictions the cultural scene has had to contend with, Felix Römer has been working on setting his texts to music. Together with the band Nachtfarben, led by musician Martin Bosch, what was already crying out to be performed on stage has been arranged to create a multi-layered, rich and gripping programme.
Jazz-inspired atmospheres and catchy pop melodies, combined with rhythmic arrangements, meet poetry and unexpectedly transform into soundscapes through which Römer’s verses lead the way.
The result is a collection of tracks tailor-made to complement Römer’s sonorous, warm voice. In the process, Nachtfarben’s musical ingenuity and Römer’s uninhibited style mesh perfectly.
It’s no wonder Felix Lobrecht comments: “I recommend everything Felix Römer does, and if it’s suddenly music, then it’s suddenly music.” And Henning May (AnnenMayKantereit) said: “The annoying thing about Felix’s lyrics is that I didn’t write them.”
Römer, who in 2023 won the German Cabaret Award alongside Luksan Wunder, amongst others, and is a multiple scholarship recipient, hits the nail on the head with his new approaches. A good one – one that doesn’t hurt, but inspires reflection and reverie: an outstanding mark of the times.
At the ufaFabrik, Felix Römer also appears regularly as the host of the Crossover Slam Berlin, an event he initiated.
