"The Nutcracker" by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, first performed in Saint Petersburg, Russia in 1892, is based on E.T.A. Hoffmann's tale "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" and has since become one of the most popular and popular ballets worldwide.
Family Concert: The Nutcracker
The Nutcracker is a story about a young girl named Clara who receives a nutcracker doll as a Christmas present. At night, the doll comes to life and Clara is whisked away into a magical world full of toys, candy and fantastic characters. The second act of the ballet features the famous "Land of Sweets" with its iconic dancers representing different nationalities.
