Ancient sculptures were often excavated or found in a damaged state - the head and limbs were missing. How does the decision-making process work today as to what is added to an object and which missing parts remain? What should be taken into account?
Using the example of the "Berlin Dancer", restorer Eckhart Böhm shows how and why a marble addition is made to an ancient sculpture.
