Ivan Estegneev

Everything is fleeting—performance, the body, life, even the concept of home.

From his exile in Germany, choreographer and performer Ivan Estegneev reflects on himself—as a dancer, as a son, and as a human being—and, in the moment of the performance, seeks ways to hold on and let go. Together with dramaturg and author Alexandr Andriyashkin, he transforms personal experiences into a meditation on loss, memory, distance, and the fragility of existence.

  • How do you say goodbye to a father from afar?
  • How does one come to terms with an aging body?
  • And what remains of an art form that vanishes the moment it comes into being?

This performance is a deeply personal reflection on the fragility of the moment—that single instant that dissolves and is reborn with every breath.
