Concert with the Chamber Choir of the Berlin Cathedral Choir
The Chamber Choir of the Berlin Cathedral Choir invites you on a musical journey through the vast universe of Bach. At its heart is Johann Christoph Altnickol's large-scale motet "Befiehl du deine Wege" (Commit Your Ways to the Lord), composed in honor of the 350th anniversary of the death of Paul Gerhardt, who wrote the text. Following the model of the great Bach motets, the individual verses are set to music in an artful, vivid, and expressive manner.

A panorama of sound unfolds around this motet, featuring beautiful and richly colored compositions from the circle of Johann Sebastian Bach. With works by three generations of the Bach family and contemporaries, the program spans from the richness of the early Baroque to the sensitive clarity of the 18th century.
