The Berlinische Galerie is launching a new round of its popular "Circle Training: Art" format. This time, the sporty and discursive course combines works from the permanent collection with pieces from the current special exhibition "Raoul Hausmann. Vision. Provocation. Dada" (November 8, 2025 – March 16, 2026).

The Berlinische Galerie presents the multifaceted work of Raoul Hausmann in a major retrospective featuring around 200 works from national and international collections. He is one of the most innovative avant-garde artists of classical modernism. For Hausmann, art and life were inextricably linked. His aim to transcend the familiar and constantly strive to realize "tomorrow" made him a pioneering multimedia artist. As a Dadaist, he was one of the inventors of collage; he also developed synesthetic devices, wrote experimental texts, explored the relationship between body, sound, and space in performative presentations, and, as a photographer, combined seeing with the haptic.

The "Circular Training: Art" invites visitors to a lively dialogue about artworks, which are explored station by station. This time, the focus is on art from Berlin in the first half of the 20th century, discussed with expert art historical guidance.

The profound social and political upheavals of the time also influenced the visual arts. Thus, Hausmann's stylistically and thematically diverse artistic oeuvre is used to trace, in dialogue with works by artists of his own era, the multifaceted paths and numerous overlaps of styles.
