Helena Nikonole: SonoMetagenomics, 2026, sketch
In collaboration with Berlin-based research institutions, laboratory residencies have been established focusing on soil ecology, bioacoustics, neurotechnology and urban water bodies.
Helena Nikonole is investigating the influence of sound on microbial systems; Julius Holtz is researching neural synchronisation using a brain-computer interface; Margherita Pevere is combining pond ecologies, genomic data and sound; and Marcus Maeder is sonifying soil climate data.

Interdisciplinary international CHRYSALIS symposium: Saturday, 28 November 2026, all day, involving all exhibiting artists alongside scholars from the humanities and natural sciences.
