The Ofrenda, an altar about 40 m2 in size and exuberantly decorated, is the hub of the Mexican festival of the dead. After the ceremonial opening, it is decorated with flowers, candles, handicrafts, fruit, cakes, sweets, lemonade, liquor, cigarettes - gifts for the deceased. You as visitors are also invited to bring gifts such as photos, candles for your deceased. In this way, the altar grows in the course of the festival and fills up with mementos.

The opening and closing ceremonies are performed each day of the festival with the help of traditional rhythm instruments such as rattles and bells as well as shells to invite the deceased.
