Model ships on the museum pond
Handcrafted miniature ships by model builders from Berlin and Brandenburg transform the idyllic museum pond into a bustling waterway for a day.
Children can steer remote-controlled model boats through a shallow water basin and earn a “boating license.” Making paper boats and practicing real sailor’s knots are also on the program.
This event is made possible with the kind support of the Friends and Sponsors of the German Museum of Technology Berlin e. V., the FMG Freie Schiffsmodellbaugemeinschaft Berlin, the Sail & Road Schiffs- und Automodellbauclub Berlin e. V., and the IG-Schiffsmodellbaufreunde Berlin-Mariendorf.
