A special highlight of the evening is the authentic Egyptian candlestick dance (Shamadan) – a traditional wedding dance in which an ornate candlestick is balanced on the head. Accompanied by the characteristic sounds of the finger cymbals (Sagat), an impressive atmosphere is created that has been an integral part of Egyptian wedding celebrations for generations.

The festive programme begins with a stylish opening dance to the timeless classic ‘Set El Hosen’ (‘Lady of Beauty’) – a tribute to the elegance and expressiveness of oriental dance.

Alongside classical compositions, the audience can look forward to modern pop pieces as well as a specially choreographed, contemporary overture in Katharina Joumana’s distinctive dance style, which blends tradition and modernity in a fascinating way.

The programme is presented by Katharina Joumana’s dance ensemble, Oriental Roses, which captivates audiences with its expressive choreography, precision and stage presence.
