by Duncan Macmillan
In the play "Breathing" by Duncan Macmillan, a couple deals with the topic of planning for the future. But: A baby, now?!
In these uncertain times? What about pollution and the carbon footprint? The planet is already overpopulated!
What will happen to us?
Bringing a child into the world out of love now becomes something abstract, something threatening that they don't seem to be able to cope with. Even though they want it so much.
The uncertainties and factors that a "good person" has to consider are too great. But what exactly is a "good person"?
