Support: Choir Boy

After an extended hiatus from the studio and touring, Boy Harsher will return to European stages in the fall of 2026 with their “The Heartbreak Tour.” The American duo—comprising Jae Matthews and Augustus “Gus” Muller—will be performing songs from their new album, “Get Mean,” for the first time; the recently released single “Jeans” serves as a preview of the album.

Since their formation in 2014, Boy Harsher have been among the defining acts at the intersection of dark wave, EBM, and minimalist electro-pop. With minimalist arrangements, analog synthesizers, driving beats, and Jae Matthews’ distinctive voice, they create a sound that is as dark as it is atmospheric. Their concerts are intense, immersive experiences in which music, lighting, and visual aesthetics merge into a striking whole.

In recent years, the duo has increasingly focused on film projects, including the acclaimed soundtrack to their own horror short film *The Runner*. Matthews and Muller are currently working on their first feature film, *The Lonely Woman*. With this new tour, the focus is once again on the music.

As part of “The Heartbreak Tour 2026,” Boy Harsher will also be stopping in Berlin. As a special guest, the American synth-pop band Choir Boy will open the evening with their melancholic mix of dream pop, post-punk, and 1980s synthesizer sounds.
