Synthesizer Museum Berlin
Following Berlin Fashion Week comes the first international Berlin Session Week.
From July 30 to August 2, magical and intimate sonic journeys will unfold at the Synthesizer Museum Berlin — surrounded by more than 50 legendary and rare synthesizers.
The initiator and "performing host" of the Session Week is Thorsten Quaeschning, a member of the legendary and genre-defining electronic band Tangerine Dream for the past 22 years. He has curated a diverse line-up to create exciting electronic music spontaneously and live over the course of this four-day concert series.
Program:
July 30: Thorsten Quaeschning & Shir-Ran
Shir-Ran Yinon (New Model Army / Mondëna Quartet / Schandmaul / ASP) captivates with her emotional and virtuosic violin playing, covering an exceptionally broad musical spectrum.
July 31: Thorsten Quaeschning & Kristof Hahn
Kristof Hahn is a member of the influential American experimental and post-industrial rock band Swans.
August 1: Thorsten Quaeschning & Lambert
Lambert is a Berlin-based pianist, composer, and a renowned figure in the European neoclassical scene. He always performs wearing a Sardinian bull mask.
August 2: Thorsten Quaeschning & Frank Bargmann
Berlin guitarist Frank Bargmann is touring with Michael Rother (Neu) in the fall and is known for his project Camera.
At the heart of Session Week is the idea of creative dialogue between musicians, instruments, and the audience.
The Synthesizer Museum Berlin provides the perfect setting for these extraordinary musical experiments.
With a strictly limited number of guests, we guarantee a unique experience and the opportunity for intense interaction.
