Vivaldi's Four Seasons
For 30 years, the Festival Orchester Berlin—a multicultural ensemble of musicians from leading European orchestras—has been delighting audiences with works from the Baroque, Viennese Classical, and Romantic periods, as well as with rarely performed musical discoveries.
In this concert, the ensemble pays tribute to the Venetian master Antonio Vivaldi. With his *Four Seasons*, composed in 1725, he created one of the most famous works in music history: four violin concertos that bring the changing face of nature and the seasons to life through evocative musical imagery.
The program is complemented by additional masterpieces for violin and chamber orchestra. The ensemble performs on historical Italian instruments, whose warm, authentic sound makes for a particularly memorable listening experience.
