In this workshop, you’ll build a versatile box. The box can be used as storage, a table, a stool, or a shelf, and serves as the basic module for a DIY furniture set. It can be expanded in flexible ways to create entire shelving units, room dividers, or play areas.

In the workshop, you’ll learn about this furniture system and build your first box: you’ll drill, rout, screw, and glue under expert guidance.
If you don’t feel confident building the whole box right away, you can start by building a coat rack using the BAU_M_ICH system.
Melinda Barth studied at the Weißensee Academy of Art and is a freelance product designer in Berlin. In her work, she combines craftsmanship and social production with the telling of (material) stories and places particular emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration.
