Baroque music concert featuring works by J.S. Bach, Vivaldi, Pergolesi, and others.

If Italy was the promised land for musicians in the 18th century, it is all the more remarkable that Johann Sebastian Bach himself never set foot in Italy. Instead, he familiarized himself with the latest musical developments by studying the scores of exemplary works. “Bach’s Italy” follows these traces and paints

a vivid panorama of the Italian musical landscape, from which Bach would draw inspiration in many different ways.
