Using scenes from the Commedia dell’Arte tradition and the works of Carlo Goldoni, Arlecchino is presented with the various facets of his character: naivety, cunning, tenderness, and a joyful survival instinct.
This mask is not only a central figure in traditional Italian theater, but has also become an iconic figure in European culture.
