Ludwig van Beethoven: The Violin Sonatas I
In addition to the string quartets, all of Ludwig van Beethoven’s violin sonatas will also be performed this season at the Pierre Boulez Saal—in an exciting double bill that offers very different perspectives. Antje Weithaas and Dénes Várjon, who recently completed a landmark recording of the ten works, will perform them on modern instruments.

In April, the sonatas will then be performed once again in their historical sound by Alina Ibragimova and Cédric Tiberghien.
