Teatr Klucz
“Strive, therefore, to turn your heart away from love of visible things and towards the invisible” – this quote from the 14th-century spiritual writer Thomas à Kempis forms the starting point for “Amoroso”.
The piece explores the many facets of love: happy and fulfilling encounters as well as loss, abandonment and longing. Poetic, dreamlike and unhurried, the production combines dance, improvisation and spoken word to create a multi-layered exploration of the visible and invisible aspects of love.
Following a successful tour of Poland and several awards, “Amoroso” can now be seen in Germany for the first time.
Teatr Klucz is one of the few theatre companies in Poland comprising artists with disabilities. The group has been working as a permanent ensemble at the Zamek Culture Centre in Poznań since 2016.
Press:
“Teatr Klucz is a phenomenon. The Poznań-based group, which has been led for several seasons by the choreographer and dancer Janusz Orlik, has developed into one of the most interesting phenomena in Polish theatre.” (Dominik Gac, Polish theatre critic)
