A woman becomes entangled in her own obsession: the sight of an American soldier in a photograph depicting a horrific scene from the US prison Abu Ghraib in Iraq triggers something unexpected within her—a desire she cannot control, a fascination that both attracts and deeply disturbs her. The French original by Claudine Galea was published in 2010, but the dynamics described in *On the Edge* could not be more relevant today.

Michèle Pralong lives and works in Geneva as a theatre artist. She co-directed GRÜ/Transthéâtre Genève with Maya Bösch and realized a large multidisciplinary project for the La Bâtie Festival de Genève. With Julie Gilbert and Dominique Perruchoud, she developed a utopian theatre series project that united all of Geneva's theatres for one season. In addition to her work as a dramaturge, she has published the books.


Miriam Japp received the Emil Oprecht Prize for her acting diploma from the Zurich Academy. Since 1992, she has been active on theatre stages in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, including at the Theater Konstanz, Staatstheater Saarbrücken, and Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna. She has received several awards and scholarships for her work. She also works as a voice actress and film and television actress.
