A Musical Tour Through the World of Venetian Glass

As part of a festival of early music, a concert with commentary will take place at the Museum of Decorative Arts, set against a backdrop of original artefacts. The transparency and delicacy of Venetian Renaissance glassware find their counterpart in song compositions that were created in Venice at the same time.

Singer Caterina Chiarcos, lutenist Giulio Petrella and percussionist Lorenzo d’Erasmo will perform amidst the Museum of Decorative Arts’ precious original pieces. Curator Dr Claudia Kanowski will explain the distinctive features of Venetian glass art.
