Beethoven: The Violin Sonatas II
As a soloist and chamber musician, Alina Ibragimova has been moving with virtuosity between historical soundscapes and contemporary music for many years.
In the 200th anniversary year of Ludwig van Beethoven’s death, the violinist, together with her piano partner Cédric Tiberghien, is dedicating herself to the composer’s ten violin sonatas—played on authentic instruments with gut strings and a fortepiano.
These three concerts serve as a counterpart to the performances with Antje Weithaas and Dénes Várjon at the beginning of the season, who will perform the same works on modern instruments.
