Ahne has written his first longer work. 'How I used to live' is a kind of autobiography. Ahne remembers. He remembers how he was born and the exciting years that followed, up to the fall of the Wall in 1989. The early years, his early years. After that, not much happened, except that he became a member of parliament, a squatter, a father and famous. But before that? It's not all funny in the book. Life, it's not funny. Well, not only. Is it possible to avoid growing up? Refuse to face reality? And is salvation near? In the GDR?
