Advent im Park
On the first two weekends of Advent, the Natur Park Südgelände is transformed into a festive and fairy-tale setting.
Light installations, the interactive candle labyrinth, glowing stars and shooting stars create a festive atmosphere in the park.
In the secret garden, ‘Giardino Segreto’, floral activities such as wreath-making and craft sessions for children invite visitors to join in, whilst various stalls encourage visitors to browse for Christmas gift ideas.
Storyteller Birgit Hägele creates magical moments by the water tower as she sparks the imagination of the park’s young visitors with fairy tales of Knecht Ruprecht, Frau Holle, the Star Talers and other stories.
In the bakery, all budding young bakers can bake delicious biscuits under expert guidance on both Sundays and take them home.
The living Santa’s sack and Angelino – an angel-in-training who, as a musical walk-around act, fills the park with heavenly sounds on his psaltery – are sure to bring smiles to everyone’s faces.
Once again this year, all children are invited to post their Christmas wish letters directly to Father Christmas from the Südgelände.
For the candle maze, please bring candles in glass jars to become part of the illumination.
