From 18 to 24 November 2026, the FrauenWelten Film Festival will once again take place at the cinema in the KulturBrauerei Berlin.

Now in its 26th year, the FrauenWelten Film Festival will present over 30 feature films and documentaries from more than 20 countries, including films on violence against women and women’s rights in Cambodia and Ukraine.

The festival’s patron is the Ukrainian FEMEN activist Inna Shevchenko, who will speak in person in Berlin at the opening on 18 November. The festival kicks off with the Berlin premiere of STRAWBERRIES – THE STRAWBERRY PICKER by Laïla Marrakchi.

Moving, thought-provoking, empowering.

Following many of the screenings, there will be discussions and panel talks with filmmakers and experts in attendance, providing a space for exchange, reflection and discussion.

A festival that raises awareness, gives a voice to those who are often unheard – and, for the 26th time, celebrates the cinema as a place of encounter.

The full programme will be published on 9 October 2026 on the festival website; ticket sales begin on 26 October 2026.
