Once a quarter, the Volksbühne invites Berlin-based artists to the stage of the Roter Salon to spend a long night exploring—through their own artistic practices—the mother of all interdisciplinary formats: the lecture performance.
A form that has circulated across disciplines since the 1960s, placing the art of storytelling at its center and infiltrating both theaters and lecture halls alike. It has long since become a genre in its own right. The experimental setup is therefore as simple as it is open-ended: lecture performance, 20 minutes.
