The Köpenick Christmas Island
Christmas Market in Berlin from 10 to 12 December 2021
Castle scenery and stage programme: At the Köpenick Christmas market there is a contemplative Christmas atmosphere.
Please note: The 2G rule and mandatory masks apply at all Christmas markets.
The atmospheric Christmas market in the south-east of Berlin will take place this year again on the third weekend of Advent. The Christmas Köpenick Christmas Island offers a unique ambience. It has a highlight in store right from the start: the Christmas Island opens on Friday evening with the traditional cutting of the two-metre-long Christmas Stollen fruit bread.
Christmas offerings from non-profit organisations
On the palace island, local non-profit organisations sell Christmas gifts, such as traditional handicrafts, ceramics, table decorations, candles, honey from the region as well as offering handicraft activities for children and much more. You will find great Christmas gifts for yourself and your loved ones here.
Opposite on Schlossplatz your culinary instincts will be indulged with a large selection of sweet and hearty delicacies, mulled wine and punch.
Entertainment on the Christmas stage and traditional tower fanfare
Various artists perform on the palace island’s Christmas stage: whether storytellers, live music or singing old and new Christmas songs together, you will be entertained to the full.
In the evening a great tradition is continued: the tower trumpeters greet visitors from the tower of Köpenick Palace.
