In her work, Anne Duk Hee Jordan explores the relationships between human and non-human life forms. Her sculptures, videos and installations explore symbiosis, interdependence and transformation, whilst challenging familiar notions of humanity as the centre of the world.

Blurring the lines between scientific research, speculative fiction and sensory experience, she creates immersive spaces in which plants, animals, microorganisms and other agents often take centre stage. Jordan draws attention to forms of coexistence that elude our usual perceptions, offering a perspective on the world as a complex web of interdependencies. Anne Duk Hee Jordan has developed a new, large-scale installation spanning 350 square metres especially for the Berlinische Galerie.

  • The exhibition was realised with significant support from the Hollweg Foundation.
