A three-day anniversary celebration at the end of October
Alongside a varied programme featuring live performances, workshops and a central birthday table, one of the highlights of this year’s anniversary celebrations will be a prize draw for a Suzuki Swift Club Hybrid worth 20,000 euros.
Since opening in autumn 2001, the Spandau Arcaden has been a central hub for local amenities, shopping and socialising, situated right next to Spandau railway station. To celebrate its 25th anniversary together with the borough, the shopping centre is hosting a three-day celebration weekend from 30 October to 1 November 2026. The anniversary will be accompanied by a special interactive competition: in partnership with the Wegener car dealership, the centre is giving away a Suzuki Swift Club Hybrid worth 20,000 euros. Anyone wishing to take part in the prize draw must, by 25 October, search for clues in the centre and on its digital channels via the interactive ‘Arcaden Game’ to work out the five-digit solution word. The draw will take place from 2 November, and the winner will be announced via social media.
The programme for the festive weekend, running from 30 October to 1 November, features numerous activities throughout the centre. On Friday 30 October, Radio ENERGY will be visiting and giving away tickets for the Tokio Hotel Arena Tour on 7 November at the Music Counter between 4.00 pm and 6.00 pm. On Saturday and Sunday (when shops are open), an interactive ‘Buzzer Box’ will offer instant prizes and vouchers from participating shops. On Saturday 31 October, the programme includes breakdance performances with a live DJ, finger-skating workshops, stand-up comedy and various street performers. Sunday, 1 November, will feature a pop-up fashion show, tape art and hand-lettering workshops, as well as a central birthday table for tenants and guests. The festivities will culminate in a grand fireworks display at 6.00 pm.
“For a quarter of a century, the Spandau Arcaden have shaped life in the borough. With our three-day celebration weekend, we would like to thank all our visitors for their loyalty,” says Steffen Mezler, Centre Manager of the Spandau Arcaden. “Whether it’s the prize draw, creative workshops or the fireworks on Sunday evening – we’ve put together a varied programme to celebrate this special milestone together with the people of Spandau.”
