The programme on art and science

Once a month, the radio3 Atelier Talk brings together Berlin-based artists, academics and members of the public for a discussion centred on colours, brushes and digital sketches – right in the heart of Kreuzberg, at Roman Lipski’s studio.

Presenter Siham El-Maimouni explores the question of how art and science inspire and influence one another.

What drives art today? And where do the intersections with science and research lie?

Leonardo da Vinci himself dissected corpses to understand the human body; science fiction inspired space travel; and without materials research, there would be no Bauhaus. Whether it’s AI, quantum physics, psychology or climate research: on the radio3 Atelier Talk, these interconnections are explored, experienced and discussed – in a sensory, inspiring and surprising way.
