As part of the exhibition ‘On to New Works! Max Slevogt, Bruno Cassirer and Max Liebermann’, the Liebermann Villa invites visitors to listen together and immerse themselves in the world of illustrated fairy tales.

Max Slevogt was known not only as a painter, but also as a passionate draughtsman and illustrator who brought stories to life through his pictures.
In a cosy atmosphere, selected fairy tales – accompanied by Slevogt’s imaginative illustrations – will be read aloud. The richly detailed drawings transport listeners to enchanting worlds and demonstrate just how closely images and narrative can be intertwined.
Whether accompanied or not, all visitors are warmly invited to take a seat, listen and immerse themselves in Slevogt’s imaginative visual worlds.
