25 years Museum Pankow

For 25 years, the Museum Pankow has been preserving, researching, and sharing the history and stories of a district as diverse as its neighborhoods.

The anniversary exhibition invites you to embark on a journey of discovery—exploring projects, memories, and collaborations that bring regional history to life.

How do historical turning points impact the region? Which figures shape a district? Which stories endure—and why? Through selected projects, the exhibition offers insights into the work of the Museum Pankow: from exhibitions and commemorative initiatives to educational programs. Each project represents a unique local story—and the people who researched it and made it accessible to the public.

The exhibition was developed collaboratively by all departments of the museum and reflects the full scope of its activities. In addition to selected exhibition, commemoration, and educational projects, a wide variety of objects, archival documents, posters, flyers, and photographs are presented. Supplementary indexes invite visitors to discover further projects from the past 25 years—and perhaps to make very personal connections.
