://about blank

Left-wing club culture with a traditional character

Located right by Ostkreuz, ://about blank is a club that has been one of the most important venues on Berlin’s techno scene since it opened in 2010. Evolving from a former off-space and still run as a collective today, it brings together electronic music, art and activism – a free space for everyone who sees club culture as a political stance.

From an illegal underground club to a collectively run temple of electronic music

Not far from Ostkreuz , ://about blank is housed in a rather unassuming, graffiti-adorned building from the 1970s. The club’s authentic façade fits perfectly with its role in Berlin’s techno scene. For the history of ://about blank began even before its official opening in 2010, when illegal underground raves were held here. Since then, the club has been run by a collective of equal members – a concept that is rare even within Berlin’s club scene.

A diverse programme in the spirit of political equality

The principles of freedom, equality and collective creativity are reflected in ://about blank’s programme. From techno and house nights to experimental live acts, queer parties, readings and political discussion evenings, you can experience a wide range of event formats there – and always trust in the organisers’ commitment to solidarity.
